Enjoy lunch at a local house and then transfer by jeep returning Sapa Town. In late afternoon you will be transferred to Lao Cai Railway Station to take a night train back to Hanoi. After breakfast, meet with your volunteer tour guide and start a walking tour to visit French Quarters and Old Quarters with the best of them. Highlights of this trips is the French style villas and buildings in French quarters, Sword Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and Hanoi Old Quarter with small and narrow streets but always busy and crowded from morning to night.

Take your time to taste some local foods and eat just like a local in a small vendor shops with your volunteer guides. Overnight at your hotel in Hanoi.

After breakfast at the hotel, morning pickup and transfer to Halong Bay, short break on the way.

Upon arrival, welcome on board, check in your cabin and have delicious lunch at the restaurant.

Afternoon activities might include a visit to one of the most beautiful cave in Halong bay, a floating village for bamboo boat riding, an island for relaxing/swimming and a lagoon for kayaking. Back to the boat, you will be able to join a cooking class or a sunset cocktail party before dinner time.

Evening is free at your leisure or you can join a squid fishing trip with the crew. Overnight in private cabin on a sharing cruise.

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer to Hanoi center.

12.30 Fresh seafood lunch (vegetarian menu available) is served while the boat cruises further to the bay. Many amazing islands can be found such as Fighting Cocks (symbol of Halong Bay) Islet, Finger Islet, Incense Burner Islet, and Stone Dog Islet.
 
After lunch, stop at the most beautiful cave named Thien Cung (Heaven Palace Grotto) and explore huge chambers adorned with stalactites and stalagmites of all kinds. Back to the boat after the visit and heading to Ba Hang fishing Village, you have 2 options here:

Hanoi Tourism’s car and guide will meet you at your hotel at 8.00 am, then we will drive to Bat Trang Ceramic Village. This handicraft village is about 13 kilometers south east of Hanoi center, on the other side of Chuong Duong bridge. It is famous for producing a unique style of ceramics called Bat Trang Porcelain. Up to present, Bat Trang has still been operating and developing ceaselessly. It currently has a population of 6,500, including some 1,300 ceramics production households that operate more than 2,000 kilns. More than 30 companies are also producing and trading ceramics in Bat Trang and the village is buzzing with activities. Come to this village, we will have a play casino online chance to watch the forming, painting, heating & subsequent cooling process. You can even try to make your own products for a little amount of fee, with the careful instruction of the artisans.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will proceed to Dong Ky Carpentry Village. This village was at one time known as the ‘firecracker village’. With the firecracker industry now extinguished, the village survives by producing beautiful traditional furniture inlaid with mother-of-pearl. If you wish, you can have handcrafted furniture custom-made here and exported directly to your address abroad. Arranging the payment may prove a bit tricky if you are leaving Vietnam before the final product is produced and shipped. Dong Ky is 15km north-east of Hanoi. After arriving in Dong Ky, we can watch the carpenters forming, carving and polishing wood products, making decorated pictures by snail, oyster shells. You can also take photos and book some wood products by shipment.

After that, we will return to the urban area in Hanoi, finishing the unforgetable trip.

The Ho Chi Minh Museum is the preserver of everything memorable related to Ho Chi Minh. The Museum consists of five extensive floors and was inaugurated on 2nd September, 1990, celebrating the 100th birthday occasion of the beloved President.

Close by, the famous One Pillar Pagoda is worth a passing look. Built by King Ly Thai To in 1049, the structure has become an important symbol for the Hanoian. Quan Thanh Pagoda and Tran Quoc Pagoda, two of the most famous religious construction in Hanoi, will be our next stop.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam – Vietnam’s first University, constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past.

Then you will have an opportunity to enjoy Hanoi’s mixture of traditional and modern atmosphere on cyclos for 1 hour, including the trading area in the Old Quarter, the old streets and around the Sword Lake.

We will stop to see Ngoc Son Temple and learn more about Sword Lake’s legend. Thang Long Theatre will welcome you for a water puppet show at about 4.10 pm. The tour will end at about 5.30 pm.

About Co Loa citadel

It was the capital of Au Lac, at the third century before Christian and the Van Xuan state under Ngo Quyen reign after Christian. In 1962, Co Loa was ranked as historical national culture. Co Loa was the first ancient citadel of Vietnam. Lying to the north of Hanoi, the area offers beautiful rice paddy fields, old villages, and many pagodas & temples. This is one of the closest places where you can see the real countryside of Northern Vietnam. Let’s begin the tour!

Itinerary

08:00 AM: Depart hotel. Leave behind the hustle & bustle and travel to the small village of Bac Bien on the quiet outskirts of the city, on the east bank of the Red River.

08:20: Arrive at the house of the local guide houses. Welcome coffee, tea and snacks. The tour guide will give a briefing session about the tour, bikes, and his village.

08:50: Start pedaling through the small alleys of Bac Bien village to the Duong River, then take a local ferry across the river.

Ride along the dike through the local villages. You will see many traditional typical houses, pagodas, temples, local markets and be surrounded by beautiful rice paddy fields and farms growing vegetables and corn.

Stop off at a local “bar” in a village for a rest and drink, & hear the interesting history of the An Duong Vuong Dynasty (over 2,000 years ago).

Visit An Duong Vuong King Temple, Trong Thuy Prince’s Well, Community’s house . Then, cycle around the remains of the ancient citadel and its beautiful gardens, and through more rice fields and villages.Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Go through quiet villages to the dike of the Red River. We reach a local house in the traditional style, and chat with the villagers to learn about their lives and work. Cycling on top of the dike along the Red River, we will see where two great rivers meet.

Stop by a local temple on the bank of the Red River. If we’re lucky, we may see a unique ceremony of Vietnamese people, “Len Dong” (going into a trance). Foreigners are fascinated by this unique ceremony!

Have a drink with a family in the village to know more about their life, and how the village and area are changing.

Return to the hotel by a car. Cycling tour finish at 4h30 pm.
